Affiliate disclosure

The Offline Shelf is reader-supported. Buy buttons go to Bookshop.org and Amazon. Some of these are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

As an Amazon Associate, The Offline Shelf earns from qualifying purchases (this applies once the Amazon Associates account is active). Bookshop.org shares affiliate commissions with independent bookstores.

Commissions never decide which books we list or how we describe them. Free legal PDFs are flagged even though they earn nothing.

Current status: our affiliate accounts aren't set up yet, so every buy button is currently a plain, non-affiliate link and we earn nothing from it.
